LANDFILL

A landfill site, also known as a tip, dump, rubbish dump, garbage dump, or dumping ground, is a site for the disposal of waste materials.

Now, modern landfills are safe to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Municipal Waste Landfills, Hazardous Waste Landfills, and Industrial Waste landfills are well-engineered, located, designed, operated, and monitored.

To ensure safety, the landfills should be built in suitable geological areas away from wetlands, or other restricted areas.

Yingfan geosynthetic materials can protect groundwater and the underlying soil from leachate releases. Yingfan geosynthetic materials, with excellent durability, and long-lasting resistance to physical and chemical break-down, drainage, separation, and reinforcement, are highly cost-effective products in harsh environments such as landfills.

For example, our HDPE geomembrane liners, with a high strength-to-density ratio, strong intermolecular forces, and tensile strength, overlay two feet of compacted clay soil lining the bottom and sides of the landfill. After a landfill is capped, the land may be used for recreation sites such as parks.

Many developed countries have related Regulations for Municipal Solid Waste Landfills.

They should meet the requirements and regulations of the final and promulgated rules pertaining to the operation and management.

HEPD Geomembrane liners

According to our experience, we recommend high-density polyethylene geomembrane liners as the most appropriate type of basal liner for some reasons.

1. High resistance to chemicals. It has an impermeable barrier to both liquid and solid contaminants.

2. High tearing, puncture resistance, and tensile strength.

The best options for strong, flexible, and chemically resistant liners come from Yingfan® geomembrane. Built on advanced production lines, these products can be used under the toughest conditions.

Geotextiles

Nonwoven geotextile can be used as the separation and filter layer between the mineral drainage layer and waste.

To avoid possible perforation and tearing problems, engineers will require additional nonwoven geotextile to be installed above and/or below the geomembrane.

Nonwoven geotextile is to protect impermeable barrier material from installation damage and excessive stresses associated with ballasting.

Geosynthetic clay liners (GCLs)

Geosynthetic clay liners can safely and permanently close the polluted area to reduce or eliminate pollutant emissions. GCLs have low permeability. The characteristic of this product can meet the challenges of contaminated areas. GCLs are best used as a separator between two different types of soil to prevent contamination.

Geogrids

Geogrid is a structural material used to improve the stability of the top covering soil of the composite liner, or used for soil reinforcement on steep slopes.
