A reservoir is a large lake behind a dam. It is used as a direct water supply, downstream water supply, irrigation, flood control, hydroelectricity, flow balancing, etc.

One of the classic fields of application for geosynthetics is hydraulic engineering structures, such as reservoirs, ponds, and dams. It is because geosynthetics have many advantages over traditional construction methods. Therefore, according to the project’s specific requirements, geosynthetic liners are selected for sealing elements in water engineering systems.

Geomembranes

Geomembrane is the most common application for a reservoir. On the one hand, it is a solid liner, on the other hand, it can withstand different ambient liquid temperatures.

The HDPE or LLDPE liners, offer excellent chemical and UV resistance and has high yield and welding strength. We can provide liner thicknesses between 0.5mm and 3.0 mm.

Geosynthetic clay liners (GCLs) are used to prevent water loss and ensure durability and erosion stability. Thereby, they can ensure the static stability of the structure.
