WATER - Stormwater

Brief Introduction

With the growth of the human population and the increasing demand for water, stormwater is an important resource.

In developed environments, such as cities, unmanaged stormwater can create two major issues: one is flooding, and the other is water pollution.

Geogrids

Geogrids provide good resistance against chemicals and bacteria. They also enhance safety and seismic durability by stabilizing slopes and increasing soil strength.

Geogrids reduce maintenance requirements and extend the service life of paved roads. They can increase the speed of construction and reduce the overall cost.

Geotextile-Geonet Composites  (Drainage Geocomposites)

A typical drainage composite consists of geonet and non-woven geotextile. It can effectively reduce foundation settlement.

Effective drainage is important to prevent water from seeping into the foundation and causing instability. It is easy to install and has a long lifespan.

Geosynthetic Clay Liners (GCLs)

Geosynthetic Clay Liners (GCLs) are combining two durable geotextile outer layers with a uniform core of natural sodium bentonite, creating a hydraulic barrier. With the unique ability to seal penetrations, GCL is famous for its consistent and very low permeability.

As hydraulic barriers, they are easy to install. They can withstand elongation and settlement stress without significant impact on hydraulic performance. It has shear strength and stability advantages that are important for any application.
